Key responsibilities
- Working in a home which supports maximum 3 young people
- Ensure high-quality care and support services are provided in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a dedicated team of care staff, promoting a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Oversee daily operations, including staff scheduling, budget management, and resource allocation.
- Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are rigorously followed and that the safety and well-being of all residents are prioritized.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of care standards and the development of innovative practices.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce or equivalent.
- Significant experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a children’s residential care setting.
- Strong knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Commitment to promoting the well-being and development of children and young people.
